Steps to turn off iMessage notifications on your Mac

Steps to disable iMessage notifications on your Mac

Step one: First off, you need to head to the Menu bar, click on the Apple logo and select System Preferences from the drop-down menu

Step two: Next up, navigate to Notifications and click on it. From here, you will see a list of all apps on the left sidebar. All you need to do is to look for Messages and choose None under the Messages alert style from the right window

Steps to enable Do Not Disturb on your Mac

Do Not Disturb is a great addition to macOS. Once enabled, the mode keeps your Mac away from alerts and notifications.

Step one: Bring up the Notification Center on your Mac by hitting the icon in the upper right hand corner of your Mac

Step two: Once you are done, click on Today and turn on the switch for Do Not Disturb at the top
