Steps to enable two-step verification for your Amazon account on iPhone

An extra layer of protection helps you safeguard your account and ward off hacking or privacy breach. You can enable two – step verification for your Amazon account easily. However, its mobile app doesn’t include the option to enable the 2-step verification, so you have to do it by heading over to the Amazon website .

How to Set Up Two-Step Verification for Amazon on iPhone and Computer

Step 1. First off, you need to access and log into your account. Next, you need to click on Account & Lists right below your name

Step 2. Then, you need to click on Your Account

Step 3. After that, you have to click on Login & Security Settings under Account Settings

Step 4. Now, you now need  to click on Edit next to the Advanced Security Settings section.

Step 5. Here, you need to click on Get Started. Then, you simply need to enter your phone number and click Send Code

Step 6. Now, you will be received a verification code on your device. You have to enter it, click on Verify code and move to the next step

Then, there are two backup methods which you can select, either entering another phone number or using an Authenticator app

Step 7: You can check the box next to Don’t require codes on this device if you don’t want to enter verification code on your device. Lastly, you simply need to click on Got it and then turn on Two-Step Verification

How to Set Up Two-Step Verification with Authenticator App for Amazon

Instead of receiving a verification code on your phone number, you can choose to generate verification code through an authentication application:

Step 1. First off, you need to access, navigate to Account & Lists, go to Your Account and go to Login & Security Settings

Step 2: Here, you need  to click on Edit next to Advance Security Settings, then select Get Started. After that, click on the circle button next to Authenticator

Step 3: After that,  you have to scan the QR code

In this tutorial, we are going to use Google Authenticator for iOS. You need to launch the app and allow it to access your device camera and then scan the code as usual

Then, you have to follow Steps from #6 from the above-mentioned method steps.

How to Disable Two-Step Verification for Amazon

Step 1. You need to access, go to Account & Lists, select Your Account and Login & Security Settings

Step 2. Next, you have to click on Edit next to Advance Security Settings

Step 3. Now, you need to click on Disable

Step 4.Then, enter the code which you received on your phone

Step 5. Lastly, you simply need to click on Disable again.
