Ever wondered if you can mute notifications or alerts on your Apple Watch during your workout? If you have, you are not alone out there. In fact, this may come in handy, as it allows you to keep up with the latest happenings. However, it may distract you, thus preventing you from getting the perfect scores during workout sessions.
If you are among the most frequent gym-goers, it’s a good idea to silence those annoying notifications on your Apple Watch to take back your peace during your intense workouts. That’s exactly what we are going to show you how in this article.
In watchOS 4, Apple owners can mute notifications and alerts during exercise and all they need to do is turn on a cool feature called Workout Do Not Disturb. As the name implies, the feature automatically turns off all alerts during workouts.
In this step-by-step guide, we will show you how to turn on Workout Do Not Disturb feature. Before we begin, note that you need an iPhone with the Watch app installed to enable the feature and make sure that your iPhone is now running iOS 11.
How to turn on Workout Do Not Disturb on your Apple Watch
Step one: First off, you need to launch the Watch app from your iPhone’s home screen (make sure that your iPhone is now paired with your Watch)
Step two: Next up, make sure that you select My Watch tab at the bottom left corner of the screen and then hit General to proceed
Step three: On the next screen, tap on Do Not Disturb and then turn on the switch for Workout Do Not Disturb at the top to enable the feature.
That’s it! Once you are done, Workout Do Not Disturb will automatically turn on during your workout and turn off when the workout ends. If you change your mind, you can repeat the above process and toggle off the switch.
