The final build of iOS 11 has finally landed in our shores following months of beta testing. iOS 11 doesn’t bring a significant change to the iPhone and iPad, like iOS 10, but it includes a lot of handy things that encourage users to upgrade.
With iOS 11, Apple officially ends support for 32-bit apps in favor of more modern 64-bit apps. According to Apple, third-party developers need to update their apps to make them compatible with future iOS releases.
Updating to iOS 11 is pretty simple. However, if you are a newcomer, the process may be a little bit confusing. Don’t freak out because we are here to help.

How to update to iOS 11 on your iPhone and iPad over-the-air (OTA)
Apple has begun sending out new iOS updates over the air since the days of iOS 5. This is the fastest and safest way to get an iOS update on an iPhone or iPad, as it eliminates the need for a computer. Before updating your device, make sure you have created a full backup of your iPhone or iPad in case something goes wrong during the process.
Step one: Launch the Settings app from your home screen. After that, scroll down a little bit and tap on General to proceed
Step two: Once you are in, hit Software Update and your device will automatically check for updates (this may take a few seconds depending on your internet connection. We recommend you connect your iPhone or iPad to a Wi-Fi network for stable connection)
Step three: Now just simply tap on Download and Install at the bottom of the screen to download the update to your device (your iPhone or iPad will restart and perform the update)
How to update to iOS 11 on your iPhone and iPad using iTunes
You can use iTunes to update your iPhone or iPad to iOS 11. Before we begin, make sure you now have a Mac by your side with the latest version of iTunes installed on it.
Step one: Connect iPhone or iPad to a nearby Mac and open iTunes on your computer. Once you are done, launch iTunes and you will be presented with a pop-up window
Step two: There are two options, including Download Only, and Download and Update. If you choose Download and Update, iTunes will download the software to your device and automatically install it. If you don’t want to install the software now, choose Download Only
Step three: We have heard some of the issues iPhone and iPad owners are facing with Apple’s latest iOS software update like 3D Touch laggy or user interface issues. If you want to wait for a more stable update, choose Cancel.
