Step 1: First off, you are supposed to fire up the Photos app on your Mac.
Step 2: Next, click File in the menu bar and choose Create Slideshow from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: You now need to choose New Slideshow and enter a name for it. After that, click OK.
Step 4: You will be asked to choose the photos you would like to use in the slideshow. You can choose photos from Favorites, Selected or All Items.
Step 5: Once you are done, click Add in the upper right corner of the screen.
Steps to edit slideshows in Photos app in macOS Sierra
Step 1: First, fire up the Photos app on your Mac.
Step 2: Once you are in, choose the slideshow under Projects in the sidebar.
Step 3: In order to add more photos to a slideshow, click the plus icon, and then choose Add Photos.
Step 4: You now need to choose the photos you would like to add, and then click Add.
Note that if you choose a Live Photo, it will show up as a still image in the slideshow.
Step 5: In order to add a text to a slide, choose a photo, click the plus icon, and then choose Add Text.
Step 6: You are asked to choose the text in the text box, and type the text.
