Here is how you can set up two-factor authentication in Instagram on your iPhone

To fight against security breach, a variety of apps have been designed to support social networks, and Instagram is not an exception. Now it is time for you to set up two-factor authentication in Instagram for iPhone.

As soon as you have activated the two-factor authentication in Instagram, a security code will be sent to your associated phone number and you will use it to enter later. In case, you do not receive the security code on your device, you can back up new security codes.

Steps to Enable Two-Factor Authentication in Instagram on your iPhone

Firstly, you need to make sure that you are running the latest version of Instagram. Next, tap on the profile button at the bottom right corner of the screen, followed by the setting button located at the top right-hand corner. After that, tap on Two-Factor Authentication  under Account section. You also need to toggle on the switch next to require security code and tap on Add Number in the pop-up. The next step is to enter your mobile number and choose Next. After entering the confirmation code sent to your iOS device associated with the Instagram account, you need to tap on Done at the top right corner. Eventually, you will be required to take a screenshot of your backup code if in case you cannot receive your security codes by text. Tap on OK in the popup to allow the app to take a screenshot and save it to your Camera Roll.

In case, you would like to get new codes for some reasons, you just need to tap on Get New Codes. You can also copy codes to the clipboard if you want to send them to your friend. To do it, tap on Copy Codes. There is also another option to capture the screenshot of the codes which can be done by tapping on Take Screenshot.

Steps to Disable Two-Factor Authentication in Instagram on your iPhone

Initially, you have to start off the Instagram app, select profile button at the bottom right corner and setting button at the top right corner. To move on, tap on Two-Factor Authentication. Finally, toggle off the switch next to Require Security Code and Tap on Turn Off in the popup to complete the process.
